Marcel Masferrer holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Ramon Llull University, a Master degree in International Development and Cooperation realised in University of the Basque Country (HEGOA). He has also a Postgraduate degree in Digital Journalism at the Open University of Catalunya (UOC).
He works in the field of international cooperation from the year 2002 and he was working in Latin America (Colombia, Salvador, Nicaragua), Middle East (Palestine, Israel, Iraq) and Sub-Saharan Africa (Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic).
In Palestine he was actively involved in the movement of nonviolent popular resistance against the Israeli occupation. From the year 2011 he is a member of BDS Catalonia, Catalan group which supports the international campaign for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel.
Since 2009, he is working as a freelance consultant and has made different assessments of projects concerning peace building and culture of peace.
