Beyond Walls. Supporting Human Rights defenders in Occupied Palestinian Territory
The project, in collaboration with the Italian organization SCI – Servizio Civile Internazionale Italia, aims to improve human rights conditions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, as to achieve a just peace in the area, through the enhancement of the work of Human Rights Defenders, and fostering the respect of fundamental freedoms. Reinforce the capacities of Human Rights Defenders in the Occupied Palestinian Territories to carry out their work, protect their lives and widen their action. The project encourages a process of structural improvement of Human Rights defenders work with tangible actions as the online Diploma in Human Rights and Nonviolent Conflict Resolution.
The aims of the project are:
- To receive support for human rights defenders
- Empowerment of Human Rights Defenders through strengthened capacities and skills
- More professional action of Human Rights Defenders with higher effect and able to manage security and protection
- To foster public discourse on human rights and political debate on the issue of Human Rights
- To brought out of their isolation to Local Human Rights organizations
