Yesterday marked 100 days of administrative detention of Mohammad Abu Sakha, a member of The Palestinian Circus School in Birzeit, north of Ramallah. Mohammad, 24, was detained without charge on December 14th at a checkpoint near Jenin, his hometown.
In order to raise awarness among palestinians on administrative detention and to support Abu Sakha and his family, students of the Palestinian Circus School, together with the Palestinian organization Addameer have held an event with circus performances, poetry readings, videos about Abu Skaha and administrative detention and a talk on it by an Addameer lawyer.
Administrative detention is a procedure that allows the Israeli occupation forces to hold Palestinians prisoners for an indefinite period of time (including minors) without charge and without trial.

The event was also attended by the mother of Abu Sakha who wanted to thank the thousands of people and organizations around the world who have dedicated time to support his son and put pressure on institutions to appeal the decision of the occupation forces in recent months through numerous awareness campaigns and through social networks.
