Currently, there is a consensus on the idea that Morocco still has a long way in terms of the democratization of audiovisual communication sector, especially when we talk about the low representation of the reality of rural communities in the country in the media communication.
Community radio stations, though are not legally recognized in Morocco, contribute to promoting the right to information and communication, making the political participation of citizens possible.
This bill amends the Law No. 77.03 on audiovisual communication, to legislatively recognize community radio stations.
