The role of PMSCs in the occupied Palestinian territories has some peculiarities that differentiates it from other experiences, as it may be in Afghanistan and Iraq.

A report created by The Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, with the collaboration of Control PMSC and NOVACT, that assesses a number of participating States’ efforts to meet their commitments under the ‘Montreux Document’ and provides recommendations to ensure better oversight and accountability for PMSCs.

A factual and legal approach to human rights abuses by PMSC in Iraq was implemented in the framework of the international peace and non-violence program “LaOnf initiative: strengthening the conflict prevention and resolution capacities of Iraqi non-violence civil society organizations to contribute to the peace-building process in their country”.
